The full portrait session fee of $200 (plus tax) is due at the time of booking to secure your appointment date and time and it includes a $100 print credit. This is a non-refundable fee that covers your photo session as well as a pre-session meeting and a photo reveal and ordering session. The session fee covers the time and talent of photographer, and basic retouching and creative editing of images, as determined by the photographer. Additional editing is available at additional expense to be determined by photographer. The session fee does not include any products or digital files unless previously agreed upon by client and photographer, but it does include a $100 print credit to be used at your ordering session.
If an illness or situation prevents a photo session from taking place, client may reschedule their session at least 24 hours prior to their shoot without penalty (the session fee will be rolled over to the new rescheduled date). Should client fail to give 24 hours notice, or decide to completely cancel the shoot, this session fee is forfeited and will not be refunded. A rescheduled shoot must occur within 30 days of the original shoot date or the session fee will be forfeited and a new session fee will need to be paid in order to book a new date. Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control.
Re-shoots / Refunds
Re-shoots are determined at the discretion of the photographer. Re-shoots and refunds will not be given for poor choices of clothing, make-up, hair, weather related issues, uncooperative children/adults, or by not following the recommendations of the photographer. The $200 session fee is not refundable. Due to the custom nature of photography, product payments are not refundable once products have been ordered or once digital images have been downloaded.
At the time of booking, your session fee can be paid via online invoice (credit card), or in person via credit card, cash or check. Payments for print products are made at your ordering session. I can accept credit cards, cash, or checks. No products will be ordered or delivered until full payment is made. Sales tax will be added to all payments.
If you would like to make an appointment, please contact me by email or phone (during regular business hours). I will need your phone number, street address, and email address before your appointment can be scheduled.
Please mark the date and time on your calendar and treat it as any other important appointment. I will also be contacting you via email or phone about 24-48 hours before your scheduled appointment to confirm. Please respond as quickly as you can. If I cannot get in touch with you to confirm, your appointment will be cancelled and your retainer fee will be forfeited.
Children Who Just Aren’t Up For It
I have kids, so I can certainly understand that sometimes kids just aren’t up for a photo session. If your child wakes up especially grouchy or ill on the morning of your session, please call me right away. I will leave it up to you to decide whether you still want to go ahead with pictures. If you want to reschedule, I will do my best to find time on my calendar that works for you. If you want to go ahead with the session, but your child will not stop crying or does not want to get in front of my camera at all, then I will suggest that we stop (I’ll give it about 15 or 20 minutes for regular sessions). Please keep in mind, I will not stop a session and reschedule simply because your child will not smile the way you want him/her to smile. I will only stop the session if the child is unable to stop crying or clearly does not feel well enough to continue.
If your photo session is scheduled to be outdoors and the weather is not appropriate for photos, I will contact you to reschedule. Your retainer fee will not be forfeited if we have to reschedule because of weather.
